Designed with the same skills that went into the standard AgraMover, this RACK AND PINION driven device works like a bridge crane.
Two 8 foot trolleys eight feet apart to carry up to a 20′ strut channel that can accommodate up to six 1000 watt lamps and have plenty of strength and power to hook up your cooling tubes provided that the gross weight does not exceed 350# [159 kg].
When adding Tandem Trolleys, the amount that it takes to pull them must not exceed 11# of force for the entire train.
A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE ULYSSES
A customer purchased a Hercules and ignored our specifications that it was designed to carry up to 4 lamps, and chose instead to carry 6, hook up cooling tubes, and haul them all on a 20′ strut channel.
He telephoned when he was having problems and invited us to come out to take a look. While we were impressed by how well the Hercules was performing having exceeded by far all our expectations, it was nevertheless inadequate for the demands he was putting on it.
So we designed the Ulysses and used his grow room for testing our prototype. He then added tandem trolleys that were powered by the motorized carrier shown.

(Due to the length of the strut channel you may wish to use, we do not include them in the kit)

You may also purchase blank extension rails and Tandem Trolleys to add more length to your grow area.
They’re sold in 4′, 6′, and 8′ lengths.
They are designed to run ULYSSES Tandem Trolleys to be towed by your Ulysses.
We call them “blank” extensions because they do not have gear teeth cut into the tracks like the master Ulysses does.
